As the Bihar Assembly election momentum builds, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its list of 40 star campaigners for the first phase of polling. The list features top national leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, and BJP President JP Nadda. Chief Ministers Yogi Adityanath, Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Shivraj Singh Chouhan are also among those expected to campaign across key constituencies.
Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh has also been included in the list, adding a regional appeal to the BJP’s campaign strategy. Party insiders believe his popularity in Bihar’s Bhojpuri belt could help attract young and first-time voters. The inclusion of cultural icons along with heavyweight politicians signals BJP’s attempt to balance emotional connect with political messaging.
The announcement comes just hours after BJP released its third list of candidates, completing the lineup for all 101 seats it plans to contest in the upcoming Bihar Assembly polls. The party has focused on caste balance, regional outreach, and familiar faces across constituencies to strengthen its campaign base.
Meanwhile, opposition parties including the RJD and Congress are yet to finalize several of their candidates, even as nomination deadlines approach. With top BJP leaders set to visit Bihar soon, the election campaign is expected to gain further intensity in the coming days.
